Modelling and Simulation of a Dynamic Turbine System using Bond Plot Theory
The Bond Plot Theory was employed to model and simulate a multi disciplinary turbine system (Tank+Piping = Fluids, Turbine+Shaft= Mechanical, Generator =Electrical), shown in the schematic.
20sim software was used to model and simulate this system. The model is shown in the figure below.

A 3D plot of Power, Pipe Diameter and Load Resistance after one 1 hour of simulation time used to determine the pipe diameter and load resistance to maximize the power output.
